Most woodworking aprons leave a large opening at the neck and as all woodturners know, the wood shavings produced during turning are thrown at the neck level. A regular apron cannot protect clothing or the area around the neck from gathering sawdust. Our knee length, leather woodturners apron has an elastic fabric around the neck to solve this problem. The nylon strap with snap-style buckle provides a comfortable fit for all sizes. There are no large pockets in the front to gather wood shavings, only two narrow breast pockets to hold a pencil and a pocket rule. On the inside of the apron two pockets (about 5 inches by 5 inches) are provided to keeping a tape measure or calipers. The smooth brown leather has a fine polish to prevent shavings from sticking to it. This apron makes a great present to a wood turner who has all the chisels and gouges already!
