Gladstone Marking Knife with Ceramax80™ Ceramic Blade with padouk handle

Experienced woodworkers prefer a marking knife to a pencil for marking lines in wood to show the exact line of cut. While cutting a mortise, the chisel can follow the cut line more easily and precisely. This new ceramic blade knife is similar to our steel knife (#609-1001) in that it is also double bevelled for both left and right handed operations. Due to the extreme hardness of the Ceramax 80 (second only to diamond) the knife will never need sharpening. We use the same ceramic material in our turning tool tips, which give you an idea of its ruggedness. A protective cover is provided to protect the tip from accidental damage which is made of the same wood as the handle. The hardwood handle has two "flats" to prevent roll over. At present we are offering the knife in two African hardwood handles; paduk and zebrawood. This Gladstone tool is proudly made in the USA.
